Join the UK Implementation Society now!​

We actively welcome members from policy, practice, research, funding and commissioning, and all others involved in implementation and improvement work in UK human services. Membership is by application and payment of subscription.

The UK Implementation Society is for people who want to be part of an inter-disciplinary practice and learning community working towards the implementation of more effective services for people and communities.


Since 2014, we have been building resources and a developing a range of activities to bring people together and develop the field in the UK. Whether you are new to the field and want access to gateway resources, or are an advanced practitioner or scholar who wants to participate in cutting edge debate and push the boundaries of the field, UK-IS welcomes you.

We gather resources for you to use in practice, and promote access to leading research that can help you both understand and achieve effective implementation, faster.

Members have access to these and other opportunities:

  • Regular e-bulletin Implementation Knowledge and News several times a year with news of learning events,  jobs, opportunities and brand new resources in implementation and improvement science and practice in the UK and elsewhere , direct to your email in-box, and on-line​

  • Access online to downloadable resources for practice and research including publications like Implementation Resources Digest, presentations, learning resources and blogs from invited contributors. We are actively building our on-line Resources repository, most of which is available exclusively to members of the Society

  • Create a profile of themselves and their work in the implementation or improvement field for inclusion in the UK Implementation Society’s Directory of Members. 

  • Meet and share learning with others working in policy, practice, and science across different sectors and across a wide range of services to people, at face to face events and virtually 

  • Hear from experts in the field, internationally and locally, on-line and at our events

  • Reduced or no fees for our learning and networking events, seminars and conferences both virtual and physical, at different locations around the UK, including events we organise and events that welcome UK-IS guests

  • The right to designate yourself as a Member of The UK Implementation Society, an indicator of your professional commitment to the field

  • Reciprocal arrangements for discounted attendance at selected international events that are organised for the global implementation community

As a charity, we want to spend your subscription fees on useful resources and activities, not administration:  therefore payments made by any other method (e.g. via  institutions requiring suppliers’ registration) are charged at the full standard rate and will incur an additional 15% administration charge; contact the office at for details.

Confirmation of membership acceptance, a receipt, and a secure personal log-in for the restricted Members Area of the website will be dispatched when cleared payment has been received.
