Knowing only outcomes, even if we know them with irreproachable validity, does not tell us enough to inform program improvement or policy revision. Evaluation needs to get inside the black box....

OTIS – Advancing Implementation Science with Organisational Theory

This webinar is the first of three webinars to prepare you for the 2021 European Implementation Event in late May. The EIC will welcome Ass. Prof. Sarah Birken, Wake Forest Medical School, Ass. Prof. Jennifer Leeman, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (US) and Prof. Per Nilsen, Linköping University, Sweden, who will jointly introduce the OTIS – Organization Theory for Implementation Science – tool and its use in implementation research.

Organization Theory for Implementation Science (OTIS) is a user-friendly resource to help integrate organisation theory into implementation research and practice. It is based on the premise that organisation theory offers highly relevant, yet untapped explanations of organisational dynamics influencing implementation. OTIS helps to integrate organisation theory into implementation science, thereby contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of how, why, and under what circumstances implementation occurs than currently possible with extant implementation science frameworks.

Eurpoean Implementation Event #EIE2021

What is the EIE2021?

As an attendee, you will learn about latest, cutting-edge implementation science and practice; participate in inspiring and surprising discussions with international colleagues; expand your professional network; and be inspired by the diversity of this exciting discipline.

Who is it for?
The EIE2021 brings together individuals and organisations engaged in synthesising, translating, adopting and implementing evidence in human service practice and policy.

You may work in health, social welfare, education or other human service sectors; you may be a psychologist, social worker, occupational therapist, nurse, sociologist, economist or have a totally different educational background; researchers as well as practitioners, funders, organisational leaders, intermediaries and other roles are welcome at the event – as are those who are new to the field and those with extensive knowledge and experience.
